Audio tools
Free online audio tools, process audio without uploading
Browser-based audio tools that handle common file management tasks: reducing file size for messaging apps, email attachments, or archiving. No file is ever sent to a server, all processing runs locally in your browser tab using WebAssembly. No watermark is added to any output, no account is required, and everything works offline after the first visit.
Audio processing that stays on your device
Most online audio services require uploading files to remote servers, recordings, music, voice memos and personal content stored on infrastructure outside your control. Browser-based processing eliminates that exposure: every operation runs locally in your browser tab, files are loaded into memory, processed, and discarded when you close the page.
Compression and file size reduction
Reducing an audio file size without installing software is a common need. Messaging apps impose strict file size limits, WhatsApp caps audio at 16 MB, Discord at 25 MB, and most email providers at 10 MB. Compressing audio locally in the browser means no recording or music file leaves the device, which matters when the content is personal or sensitive. Choosing between a platform preset, a custom size target, or a direct bitrate setting gives full control over the trade-off between file size and audio quality.
Bitrate and audio quality
Bitrate determines how much audio data is preserved per second of playback. Lower bitrates (64–96 kbps) are well suited to voice recordings, podcasts and spoken-word content where the full frequency range of music is not required. Higher bitrates (192–320 kbps) preserve musical fidelity, instrument separation, dynamic range, and high-frequency content. Choosing the right bitrate for the intended use avoids unnecessary file size without perceptible quality loss.
Supported formats
Browser-based audio processing using WebAssembly supports the major lossless and lossy audio formats: MP3, M4A (AAC), WAV, OGG Vorbis, and FLAC. Output is standardized to MP3 for maximum compatibility across devices, platforms, and media players. The MP3 format is supported natively on every major operating system, messaging app, and streaming platform, making it the safest choice for sharing compressed audio.
Privacy and offline use
All audio processing runs in your browser. Nothing is transmitted, no account is needed and inputs are cleared when you close the tab. After the first visit, the processing engine is saved locally on your device and all tools continue to work without an internet connection.
